Help others with clothing donations

December 26th, 2008 · No Comments · environment, self care

Did you get a bunch of new clothes for Christmas or Chanuka? Why not donate some of your older clothes to the less fortunate?

By getting rid of clothes that no longer suit you or that you don’t love, you’re making room for new and better clothes that fit you and your life. Donating your clothes instead of throwing them away gives them a second life – it’s the green thing to do, and it’s helpful for those in need.

There are several places to drop off gently used goods. Some good places include:
Goodwill – US and Canada
St. Vincent De Paul – nationwide
Housing Works – NYC area

Also, you can get a tax deduction for 2008 if you donate your clothes before the new year.
