What you focus on expands. Are you focusing on having more or less of what you want in your life?
If your mind lives in the land of lack, that’s what you will experience. On the other hand, if you decide to allow your mind to live in the land of abundance, that’s what you’ll get.
How can you shift your focus to getting more of what you want – more money, better relationships, a healthier body, more energy, fame, fortune and freedom? Or other things that you want?
One of the easiest things to shift your focus on is money. Almost everyone wants more of it.
Reading the news or watching it on TV can be dangerous to your bank account. What are you hearing? All signs of troubling times – economic difficulty, job losses, bankruptcy. Thinking this way makes you worried about your own future. Suddenly you lose money or your job. Now what?
What if you decided not to listen to the chatter? You do have a choice as to what you pay attention to. No one is holding a gun to your head, telling you to pay attention or else.
I learned a powerful exercise from a mentor of mine that will allow you to start naturally attracting more money into your life. It works like this:
You can start this exercise whenever you want – start today, with Day 1. On day 1, you are given $1000 to spend however you want. Imagine how you will use that money. Will you take a vacation? Buy something for your home that you’ve been eyeing? Add attractive new clothes to your wardrobe? Write down exactly how you will spend your $1000 and your appreciation for this new found money in your life.
You must “spend” the money on the day that you’ve received it. Don’t worry about saving it because you’ll be receiving $2000 on day 2, $3000 on day 3, $4000 on day 4, and so on.
If this exercise seems too unbelievable, then you should definitely do it. When we’re open and ready to receive what we’ve been asking for, more of it will come our way and it will come to us faster.
Do this exercise every day for one year, and see how it changes your life. I challenge you to start it now. I’ve started it – and I will let you know how it’s changed my life, too.
